He started the first few games. I don't think LSU exactly knew in Elbert to start the year. When I saw his HS film I didn't think he could be college ready yet, but we didn't have many options. He has played good in some stretches, and others have been just bad.
I don't blame them for not redshirting. I don't think Elbert would have been okay with that. He wants to play. I hope he can figure out what is needed to get on the court and make it happen.
He could still play some this year. I mean, 3 weeks ago I would have laughed at you if you told me Darcy Malone would play 20+ minutes in an SEC game.
