It is rude and very annoying. The theater had packed houses for Sniper. Not one empty seat. Maybe this is why the rude people are noticed more? The previews tell you to turn off cells so many times.

I'm a pretty reserved guy... but I will tell someone to STFU or turn their phone off in a theater.
Almost equally annoying to me is the barrage of commercials and clips telling people to silence their phones. AMC is the f'n worst about this.
