I think the big, downhill type linebackers will slowly start to wash out assuming NFL teams continue this transition towards the primarily dominated vertical passing game within the spread concept of offense. More teams are going 3-4 wide now than ever, and an athletic linebacker like Kwon Alexander could fit well in a defense.

Take Landon Collins for example, he could be a 1st-2nd down thumper at safety, and then flex down to linebacker in 2nd-3rd and long. His size, range and tackling ability allows him to do that.

I posted before my thoughts on needs of the def.
Speed more speed and a nose for the ball.
LB'ers with the ability to cover added.

This draft on its face looks horrible for OLB'ers. Not that we like to draft them anyway!
