Do something about it. Put on an educational seminar, speak with the guys on DD and ask them to do segment on skyblasting, work to get an ethical hunter educational workshheet added to lisc app each year. Offer to assist new hunters and teach them up right. Get a shooting range to design a duck specific range that throws crossing shots at 20, 30, 40, 50 ,60 yards. And high skeet out of range occasionally, and going away shots that climb out of range. It would be a great way to learn when to pass a shot. And what your limits are. Write LA conservationist or outdoor life, or LA sportsman or...
I like the way you are thinking

Hmmm, I guess I just look at the various pieces of public land owned by LDWF and think that things could be much better with some slight improvements. And that's not just for duck hunting, but pretty much every hunting opportunity offered on WMA's. But I agree, we are getting our moneys worth at the moment...all you have to do is look two states to the north of us and see that some states seem to have a much different attitude than the coonasses do towards public land. As they say, all it takes is money

MO reaps the benefits of conservation minded outdoorsmen who long ago secured specific revenues to be directly and solely put into the Department of Natural Resources budget. Regardless of the portion, which is substantial, the ability to spend prudently based on a reliable reccuring budget has made MO the premier state in conservation efforts.
Most other states vastly underfunded WLF or DNR as the state revenue goes in one pot and is divided up annually with the budget.

Not sure how a that makes me wrong. I hunted then too as I grew into a teenager. Point system has nothing to do with the ducks being plentiful and inexperienced to spreads.
Today is different, and if you were to use the same methods as the old guys, it would be much tougher getting limits today.

Until you have hunted public land in a state that pressures the ducks like LA does, you haven't seen the shite show that people get on here to complain about, no offense.
I have duck hunted since I was 8, I am 45. Been calling shots on hunts since I was like 15 when with buddies.
Called a shot on one about 50 yards last week , shite happens. I laughed it off, as should most people..it is supposed to be fun. Sometimes you just jack up and call the wrong shot. I dont know how much of this is what people are worried about, but I think people really need to find more enjoyment and less things to freak out about.
