This is an incorrect line of thinking that many people use. Terrorist attack innocent people, torturing a terrorist in not attacking an innocent person, therefore torturing a terrorist does not put you on their level.

Yes, and it would be the cruelest form of torture ever. I'd make them read "Germans, aliens, and I agree with that" on TD for eternity.

Agree to an extent, but torturing for information is also different from torturing from retribution.
I don't think I'd be especially impacted by ripping out the fingernails of someone who killed someone I loved, but I'd rather just dispatch them and be done with it.
