re: Movie theater attendance in 2014 lowest it's been in 20 years

My main reason for hating going to the movies are the annoying people who almost always seem to end up by me.

I will never see a movie on opening weekend or even 2-3 weeks out. I'll go a month after opening and usually pick the first showing of the day, which is usually pretty dead.

I also really enjoy going to theaters that allow me to reserve my seat in advance. Wish all theaters allowed this.

The primary reason for staying away though are annoying people. Even at Alamo, some weird chick sat next to me and kept making noises. She didn't talk or text, but she kept clearing her throat, humming lowly, and just various weird noises. What am I supposed to do about that? Tell the server or manager that the freak next to me is making weird noises that the person 2 seats over probably can't hear?
