Compare the compensation value of what they are getting before taxes; The tuition, room and board, food, training facilities, tutors....it's like $75k
No fricking way it is anywhere near $75,000. I live alone in a 3 bedroom house, have a gym membership, go out to nice dinners with my girlfriend regularly, and I don't make much more than that. These guys share apartments, eat at a cafeteria, etc.

Do you pay college tuition? Do you have access to the same athletic training facilities these guys do? Do you think these guys pay for their very expensive muscle protien shakes? Do you pay for a tutor on top of that shite? C'mon man. I guarantee your gym membership is not the same as the LSU football athletic training facilities
If you were to have a job and have taxes taken out you would need to be paid $26k just to cover the $20k tuition if you were in-state, $48k if you were out of state to cover the $38k.
By the way, time to start saving if you ever want to have kids
