Why is Venables ahead of Pendergast?

Because:
quote:

Brent Venables Clemson University (2012 – Present)

2011 – Ranked 100th, 2476 RuYds, 3045 PaYds*
2012 – Ranked 74th, 2030 RuYds, 3124 PaYds
2013 – Ranked 29th, 2024 RuYds, 2613 PaYds
2014 – Ranked 1st, 1172 RuYds, 1943 PaYds

shite that going in the right direction

Pendergast just hasn't spent as much time in college football as Venables with the results. Plus he has never been in the south while Venables has established himself really well at Oklahoma and South Carolina. Venables has the more stable, productive, and overall solid record IMO.

They don't play any teams with a good offense. Ranks aren't always what they seem. They played one decent offense this year. NC State

The same Venables that gave up 70 points to WV? He couldn't tstop the spread at all. Pendergast owns the spread. Venables has the luxury of playing average teams
