He wasn't knocking the narcissism, he was putting down the lack of fundamentals.

If you have flair & fundamentals, Kobe's got no problem with that, as he obviously plays by those rules himself.

But if a rookie big man can only do "fancy" moves entering college or the league, and still can't post up, he thinks that's "crap".

That's where he blames the money-driven AAU for focusing on showtime, instead of development during an optimal time in a player's journey.
