No they are not. I do this for a living. You do not always get the perfect solution. So you look for a win-win for all involved. This is the closest I could get to geographic alignment and maintaining rivalry games (the greatest argument for keeping the current alignment). Trying to add common sense to where Missouri is and keep rivalries intact. To the best of my knowledge, there is not a tremendous rivalry between Tennessee and Vanderbilt and if there is they can be permanent cross division rivals.
