Well I just don't understand. The live logo is probably in a separate layer. All they have to do is click the button to hide that layer. Just kinda strikes me as odd that no channel has ever hidden the live logo on new years re-broadcasts. They can't all be that sloppy so then it must be intentional. If it's intentional then what purpose does it serve? And yes I have done a lot of video production and it is really that simple to remove the logo.

Write a letter, or better yet several, to the broadcast company. Explain your issues and the distress it has caused you. Who knows, they may even send you a little live logo to carry around through your everyday life

Filming Star Wars parodies with your iPhone doesn't count as a lot of video production.
