I was simply asking a question. I don't think Miles should be fired after this season. Just curious if he's earned a lifetime contract or if there could ever be a situation that would warrant firing him?

I feel like he will most likely be able to average 8 wins per year as long as he stays. And that will keep his career winning pct pretty impressive still. Even if LSU never wins another SEC title or makes it to a playoff.

Would the most vocal of his supporters be ok with this? Say 8 more season averaging 8 wins.

Well then we actually seem to agree. No, he hasn't earned a lifetime contract.

Absolutely not. We are an elite program and should compete for championships every few years. That is a reasonable expectation. Expectations should be high heading into next season, given what we should return. If Miles goes 8-4 both of the next 2 years.. then that is 3 straight years.. at that point, I would be concerned that he doesn't have it anymore and a change might be necessary.
