Of course they are important. If you don't think so ask Harry Reid. Or tell me they aren't important when Obama is trying to convince a Republican Senate to confirm a Leftist Fundamentalist to The Supreme Court a year from now.

To say otherwise is vapid. But I agree that the demographics are changing, but I will suggest they change in ways that NONE of us understand because it always unfolds in unanticipated ways. I think Hispanics and Asians will break with Democratic Party over time for numerous reasons. Families intermarry, old identities die, groups evolve politically over generations.
