Great question.

Probably just the way I was raised. Surrounded by all men who treated me and acted like I was a man the moment I decided I was grown.

So from about the beginning of puberty on, I was looked at as my own man with no direction, no one checking my grades, no curfew, nothing unless I asked for it.

So I'd just say "me" for not knowing I wasn't grown when I thought I was and just my surroundings in general.

I thought I was a bonified grown arse man by about 16 but realized at about 26 that I never finished maturing. Sucks to admit.
