Three Year Trends: 2009, '10, '11 v. 2014, '15, '16

IMO, there are many similar circumstances surrounding the 2009 and 2014 teams. True sophomore QB, inexperienced but talented team. Very likely to end both seasons 9-4.
In 2010, LSU would finish the season 11-2. Prior to the addition of either Cameron or Krags to the staff, Jennings posted the following stat line in 2010:
56.5% completions 1411 yards 6.8 ypa 7TDs 10INTs 114.7 QBR
Compared to the 2014 stat line for Jennings
48.8% completions 1460 yards 6.9 ypa 10TDs 7 INTs 115.3 QBR
This leads me to believe that the floor for this team is 11-2. However, with the benefit of Krags, (Jefferson never had Cameron to work with), Jennings improved a great deal in 2011 en route to 13-0 and a NC appearance. With another year (and offseason) of progression, and considering the talent around him, I see no reason why Jennings can't put up some decent numbers.
Position Comparisons 2010 to 2015
Corners: Peterson, Claiborne v. White, Robinson/Tolliver/Paris
LBs: Sheppard, Baker v. Alexander, Beckwith
DE: Adams, Edwards v. Hunter, Teuhema/Bowers
DT: Nevis v. Lacouture, Valentine, Godchaux
RB: Ridley, Ware v. Fournette, Williams, Guice, Brossette
WR: Tolliver, Randle, Shep v. Dural, Dupre, Diarse, Quinn
Gonna be a special year

11-2 next year and people will wants Miles fired. There's no pleasing this fanbase.

That's a pretty optimistic floor considering.

People will be assholes and call you out for saying Jennings in 2010 and 2011

Considering what? We went 11-2 in 2010 with the same level of QB play we saw this year. If Jennings shows 0% improvement, we should be able to do it again.

Considering how our offense looked this year and how other teams in the SEC have improved relative to us.

11 and 2 as a floor is also ridiculous because you're basically saying there is no way we won't be competing for a playoff appearance considering that an 11-2 SEC West team would likely be a shoe-in for one of those 4 spots or at least have a strong case for one.

Which teams?

In the SEC West, all of them.

In 2010, Auburn went undefeated. Also, a two-loss SEC team would not have made the playoff over a one-loss Baylor or TCU.

You're not being genuine. MSST and Auburn are going to fall hard next year and Ole Miss and aTm couldn't beat us THIS year. Only losses I can see on the schedule are ARK and ALA, which plays nicely into an 11-2 season

OM stout defense at home doesn't work in our advantage. Not saying it's not possible for a W but it'll be a low scorer and QB improvement is necessary to avoid 10-3

Stout? 400 total yards...55 for 264 yards rushing

In our house though. It'll be tougher I think in their house without the Oline we had this year. I hope I'm wrong though

We could very well be returning:
Vadal
Hawkins
Pocic
Washington
Clapp
Brim field
Malone
OL shouldn't be a problem. On the other side, Ole Miss has no QB

I like your optimism and it is Christmas, but I wouldn't be comfortable putting any team's floor at 11-2.

Being in the second year with Grimes as O-Line coach could balance out the loss of talent since the players are more familiar with the scheme/technique Grimes wants.

Absolutely right. If Miles coached at Bama, FL, or even Michigan, their fanbases would be building a statue of him...

Next year I tell ya......next year.....

Just want them to beat Bama. Please beat Bama...
