Only issue I have with this is how it accelerates barrel wear due to the bi-metal jacket. But besides that, if only shooting a few hundred rounds, steel is very cheap and trouble free.

Bimetal jacket on the bullet, nothing to do with steel casing. Don't shoot any m193 or ss109 as those are bimetal as well.
Do you have any links that prove accelerated wear? All I can find is a bunch of speculation, but I'm at work and filters suck.
