with that out of the way, you're totally right, I agree completely. how many times in a row do we need to see a QB from a spread system, especially a run spread, fail in the NFL before people realize that you can't trust what you saw him do in college.

if an NFL team works Mariota out, under NFL conditions, and decides he can make it, fine, great, but as of now, we know very very little about him as a QB.

Winston on the other hand has stood in the pocket 40 times a game and thrown to 2-3 WRs and a TE, which is exactly what he's gonna do in the NFL. people can pretend like the spread is taking over the NFL if they want but 90 percent of every offense is still 2-3 WRs and a TE.
