To be fair, this was just a scenario I posed that wasn't based on anything. I don't actually know if the confession was coerced.

No, that's fine. The article says, I think, the judge found his confession was most likely coerced. To me, either it was or it wasn't, and evidence matters.

I do find it odd to fry a child that is only 14.
