blame only the players for the play calling and the offensive philosophy

This proves you dont know cfb. A qb draw can go for an 80 yard td run, if executed right. Our offensive philosophy is fine. Did you miss last year?

We get that you wake up aroused in the middle of the night dreaming of Miles and the 2013 offense. But get over yourself.

For you to constantly come on here and say that "there is no problem with the scheme it's only about execution" is just fricking stupid. Of course if every play in the history of football was executed perfectly it would have a chance to be successful.

Running into stacked boxes on 1st and 2nd down and trying to block 9 guys with seven isn't JUST an execution issue. It's easier for the other team to stop you if they know what's coming. It's easier for the other team to stop you if they don't have to defend 65% of the field.

The 2013 "scheme" wasn't the same as what they ran this year. The 2013 scheme was designed to take advantage of a QB that could make all the throws to two legit WRs. The 2014 scheme was designed to hide the QB at all costs and run, run, run, and maybe throw a bomb or something outside the hashes if they absolutely had to. It wasn't even close to the same.

Hell, what they ran against A&M wasn't the same thing they ran against Arkansas the week before. So quit trying to compare the two. Our offense was good in 2013 and it sucked in 2014 and it wasn't just about the execution of it.

For someone that constantly runs from thread to thread trying to "educate " other posters on football knowledge you have absolutely no fricking idea what you are talking about.

Tell us more about how no college offenses are innovative. I enjoy hearing about that.

Yes it was. Just because we ran a jet sweep and a couple read options doesnt mean we changed our scheme.and yes what set apart our 2013 and 2014 offense is execution . sorry you cant see that. If you cant see that Mett DID execute and AJennings didnt thats on you

This is a point that a lot of people who almost know everything about football make. Whereas a 5-step drop and a pass to a post-route demands that the opposing DL be nimble and alert, running the ball up the middle demands that they win a wrestling match against an OL. Running this play 15 times fatigues the defense, reduces the chance of a turnover, and improves ball control and time of possession. It isn't pretty and sparkly, and I'll admit that there are sometimes when I question its placement in the game plan, but most of you have a narrow view of the purpose of this play and don't realize how effective it can be.
