Every LSU fan want to do this. Some just understand that it's not going to happen every year despite what's happening in that other program to the east. Until LSU is duplicating the success of Bama, the bitching will continue

So we should strive for less?

Settle for less?

Be "realistic" and realize we can no longer expect better than 4-4 in the SEC and a trip to the Music City Bowl?

Typical dishonest response from you people. You aren't capable of being realistic yourselves, and you have a warped idea of what role this game should play in your life, so you are incapable of discussing LSU football honestly and reasonably.

Who says we can no longer expect better than 4-4 in the SEC? Realistic to me says we will be competing for the SEC West again next year and with that a shot at the playoff.

4-4 in the SEC is AWESOME baby! A trip to the mediocre bowl is the way to go. I agree that some people on this site take criticism of the coach and program too seriously. I do not know why they keep talking about the winningest coach in LSU history. Great, but he needs to win a Natty or at least the SEC here and there. Otherwise, what is the point?
