. The reason A&M was able to move while the legislature was out of session is because Texas arrogantly convinced the remaining members that TCU was an upgrade and that A&M was easily replaced. 2. The PAC 12 said no to Texas as long as the Longhorn Network existed and no to Oklahoma without Texas. PAC 12 Networks, while funded by the conference and its member schools, is a Fox property. They won't allow Texas to join until or unless ESPN gives ground on their network. 3. Until T. Boone Pickens is dead, Oklahoma doesn't do a damn thing without Oklahoma State attached to them. The PAC 12 already proved that they can't go anywhere without Texas either. 4. Texas has what's called a "Tech/Baylor problem". While Ken Starr's lawsuit against the SEC would have been thrown out if it had moved forward, Baylor can claim real and concrete damages if Texas leaves them behind. 5. Texas has been exposed as a toxic business partner. No conference will take them as is without significant checks against them in place.

I don't see how anyone could dispute this (on an overall general basis). damn good synopsis. the only thing I would question is Baylors lawsuit if Texas left them. I have no doubt the scumbag Starr would file it I just don't see Baylor winning. also, what about their partnerships in medicine? seems like Starr could really shite the bed sueing tejas.

McLane Stadium doesn't happen without concrete assurances that the Big 12 remains in place. If Texas leaves, the Big 12 is dead.
