Meh, you know how uneven the money split is in that league? UT does just fine.

For Texas, they are as interested in the dollar difference between what they make and what their close competitors (particularly in conference) make, as they are in the overall total figure (they are number 1 in revenue as it stands). The money they lose by not having a Big XII team in the playoff is pocket change by their standards.

The logical targets would probably be Cincinnati and Memphis, but don't expect the Horns to allow two "commuter" schools in (that's why Louisville got passed over for West Virginia). They probably wouldn't much care for BYU for the same reasons that schools they consider peers (Berkley and Stanford) would veto BYU as a Pac-12 member.
