Consensus on Schecter Guitars?

I'm in the market for a guitar, I was pretty set on an SG but the one I had in mind got swept out from under my feet about a month ago. I've been doing some shopping around and keep coming back to a Schecter Classic:
and a Les Paul Studio:
Both are beautiful guitars obviously but I don't know much about Schecter other than they are designed with metal heads in mind. Can anyone provide some insight on Schecter? Schecter is a C-1 Classic model FWIW. I have a pretty fair understanding of what comes with a Les Paul Studio

I'm not a Schecter guy myself, but that shouldn't dissuade your decision. The cool thing about guitars is that they're very subjective. One man's trash is another man's treasure. IMO, Schecter guitars are a bit of a one trick pony. Most don't give you the versatility of some of the Fenders or Gibsons. But if it feels right, go for it. You can always modify it to make it exactly what you want. Which brings me to my next question: Have you physically held these guitars in your hands, or are you shopping online. I, personally, would not recommend purchasing a guitar that you haven't played. Each guitar is different and you could be setting yourself up for disappointment.
For me, the decision would be a no-brainer....the SG.
I play basically two electrics: An SG Standard and a Telecaster. Everything I could possibly want can be found in one of those guitars.

I'm mostly a metal guy. I have a Schecter blackjack (came with Seymour Duncan Blackout pickups) and i absolutely love it.
Imo, you get alot of bang for your buck with Schecters. My 2nd guitar i ever owned was an Omen-6, really solid for starter-intermediate guitar players. I've never been dissapointed with one.
Idk what blues or country style players think of them, but theyre really good for heavy/punky styles.

I played one of these on Thanksgiving over at a family members house. Now I want one.

I won't lie. That's pretty sweet.
