would like to add speakers to my back porch/patio

Are you willing to run wires, or do you prefer wireless?

This is easily accomplished, on a basic level, with a multi-zone receiver. Just run the receiver's output into the soundbar and add speakers to the other zone(s) and you can turn them on/off.

If you can give some more info, namely the sources (where the sound comes from), it's quite possible that there is an equivalently easy/cheap way.

Thanks for the responses.

Foroutside speakers tt seems like wireless would be easier so I would prefer that, but would have no issues running wires either.

And if I'm understanding both of you correctly I could connect the sound bar to the receiver and have it be one zone and the outside speakers be a separate zone....which would allow me to play inside only (as I do today through the sound bar), outside, or both at the same time?

As for the current sources...the sound bar is connected to the TV (which is connected to digital box if that matters), and our phones via bluetooth.
