Was talking to someone earlier that watched last night and said it was maybe his 2nd or 3rd episode watched. He asked if I was shocked/sad that beth got killed (he knew it was a big deal because his son was shocked). I said, “you know, I didn’t think it was that big of a deal, it was semi-shocking but you knew someone would die. “
So I decided to make a list/grouping from “HOLY shite” to “meh” of characters getting knocked off.
Tier 1
Rick (no doubt a group by himself)
Tier 2 (would be highly shocked
Daryl
Carol
Tier 3 (would be shocked, they bring a lot to the show)
Glen
Michone
missed carl. Tier 3.5
Tier 4 (“well, I didn’t see that coming, that sucks”)
Judith
Maggie
Beth*
Tier 5 (“meh”)
The rest of the fire brigade
The rest of the black people (not racist, I don’t even know their names)
Anyone else not mentioned

I'd move Carol down to Tier 3... and put Abraham into Tier 4, not 5.

I would put Carl and Judith in Tier 2, Glen in tier 4, and Maggie in tier 3.

I put Glen in tier 4, Sasha in tier 7 and Carl in tier 13.
