I feel like Nintendo leaves just an absolute ton of money on the table by not attacking the nostalgia factor. They could make SOOOO much money by putting old games on mobile devices. Square Enix is doing it successfully right now with early FFs

Because Nintendo actually cares about the quality of their products and not simply whoring out. No fricking way would Mario or Zelda be anywhere close in quality to what it is on an actual gaming device. Plus it's counter-productive to their handheld gaming devices.

The thing is the people aren't making a choice between mobile phone gaming and dedicated handheld gaming. They are two distinct demographics.

The handheld gamers are going to buy their games whether they make mobile games or not. The mobile gamers will just do without it if it's not available, they aren't going out to get a 3DS just so they can have Nintendo games.
