If I'm Jefferson or Mack, it's a pretty simple decision. Both heart and head say LSU.

LSU is the right decision for their heart. Both Mack and Jefferson have liked LSU in their heart. Coach Miles is a players coach who looks out for his guys. Miles has the character and characteristics that every parent would want for their son. Texas players choose LSU all of the time. LSU is an easy drive.

The LSU has swag and will play for championships during the time that Jefferson and Mack are here. LSU has defensive talent right now, and they have talent for the next four years. Texas A&M has very little talent now, and only a hope of talent for the next four years. Even if Mack and Jefferson committed to A&M, A&M still would not have anywhere near the breadth and depth of talent that LSU has.

Although the LSU offense is young in 2014, it will mature over the next few years. LSU will be competing for championships next year and for while Jefferson and Mack are here. A&M can hope, but they just won't have the defensive depth, even if Jefferson and Mack commit.

LSU is the right decision for their head. Both of them must know that LSU is a much more logical decision. From a straight business standpoint, LSU makes tons more sense. LSU has elite defensive coaches.

Look at what the LSU defensive unit did just this year. The coaching staff took a unit that was young and inexperienced and coached them into the #1 defense in the SEC. THAT is excellent coaching.

Look at the coaching job LSU performed for defensive tackles True Sophomore LaCouture and True Freshman Godchaux, and Chavis is acknowledged to be a LB guru. If you go to college to get educated and learn your craft, there is simply no better place to do it than LSU for a defensive player.

LSU is far and away the best business decision.

Look at the excellent results for LSU defensive players in the draft . . . and that's for players who leave early. The LSU name draws lots of very positive attention to defensive players. The same cannot be said at all for Texas A&M. Look at the success of LSU defensive players in the pros. LSU has the depth to rotate players on defense. LSU players get skill and experience in college, but they don't get worn out or used up in college.

I don't like the thread title. I wouldn't say, "Malik Jefferson & Daylon Mack better be Tigers." That is their decision to make.

However, I will say that if I were Mack or Jefferson or one of their parents, LSU makes the most sense from the head or the heart.

Yeah, just being on LSU defense alone gets you so much more credit when it comes to NFL.
