I'd be shocked if they draft 2 guards though. Especially with the needs on defense. We obviously need a second lock-down corner to complement Lewis on the other side. Linebacker has been woefully ignored for far too long in the draft by this FO. The last two games against run-heavy offenses have pretty much shown the entire league that all they have to do is borrow Les Miles' playbook in preparation for playing the Saints. We are looking like we will also need another NT with Bunkley showing his age. That doesn't even address the hole that Mark Ingram will leave on our running game after he leaves. Also Colston is probably done, so now we need a quality possession receiver.

So would I, but honestly I think that we should be looking to FA for defense unless we find an ILB we love. Luckily, guard is a position with plenty of options via the draft and FA without a huge curve

Which was more of the point to this thread. We're paying our punter starting RB money.

We're going to role with Khiry and PT next year and might draft someone late. Would love the luxury of rolling with a quick back

Anyways, I understand the reasons for keeping him, but that contract...woof
