There are posters on the Rant who literally could not care less about LSU's academic mission, so this attitude doesn't surprise me.

Haven't seen anyone mention that the Ivy doesn't do any athletic scholarships for any sport, which is the only conference like that too.

Only thing I can guess at is tradition and they don't like to change.

It's funny to me that basketball and other sports don't have a problem with the post sesson and playoffs though.
