Bradshaw - 29 years old, will be coming off a broken ankle. Can't handle a full workload any longer and has shown signs of breaking down. Pass
Moreno - 28 years old, will be coming off a torn ACL. Just 2 year ago people said he's breaking down. When healthy, he's a solid back. Issue is, is a 2-3mil investment worth it for a guy that might break down again? Probably not.
Ridley - 26 years old, torn ACL/MCL. Never been used consistently, but he has produced good running numbers. Issue is the same thing you run with Ingram, not a great pass protector and 1 dimensional. He also has a big issue, fumbles, something that Ingram doesn't have.
Vereen - 26 years old, I think NE will make it a priority to re-sign him. He's been the 3rd down back/everydown back when Ridley is in the dog house after fumbling. He can do it all and reminds me a lot of PT, but he is not that good of a rusher.
Mathews - 27 years old (28 mid-season), the DEFINITION of injury prone. Only one full season where he hasn't missed any games (2013), but he's a very solid RB that can do it all. He can definitely be a 3-down back we've been looking for. I don't like signing injury prone players, but Mathews can be a very risk-reward and he might take a 1-2 year prove it deal.
Gore - 32 years old, finally showing signs of slowing down. Has carried the ball 2345 times in his career, and looks to be phased out of SF very soon. I think he's done, aging RBs are pointless imo.
Helu - 26 years old (27 mid-season), he might be a guy that just needs to finally get his shot, but if he was good enough he'd already have beaten out a struggling Alfred Morris this year. I believe he has pass protection issues as well, so that becomes kind of useless for us.
I think our best bet would be Vereen and Mathews, but honestly if we can't afford Ingram, I don't think he can afford either of those. Vereen will probably get a McCluster type contract 3yr 9mil or 3yr 10mil. Mathews, someone will take a flyer on him and pay him 4-5mil/yr.
