No "feeling" about it.

Saban handed this a-hole the winning powerball ticket, and Miles cashed it in. Hence his record here.

I KNOW a halfway decent coach could turn this into a powerhouse.

Why didn't they before then? Were Dinardo, Hallman, Archer and Stovall all awful before they took the reigns? I would pretty much consider 3/4 of those halfway decent before they were the head coach at LSU and look where they ended up. We have had sustained success well past Saban's tenure here. We ARE a powerhouse. Some idiot couldn't have just come in here and kept us at the level we're at for a decade. Some school have 10 win season as the pinnacle of their entire football history. Ours are a consolation. Be thankful.

Problem is, Saban built a culture of excellence into our football program in 4-5 years. In 10 years, Les Miles has whittled, wasted, eroded and unraveled it, so that the next coach is going to really have to be a rebuilder and a motivator, to undo all the lax and ineffective Les Miles ways that have taken root over the years.
