I just saw it again from another angle. If AD had held the ball at the free throw line Jrue definitely comes open. Corey Joseph got lost in the screening action and it looked like the angle was there if AD had stayed.

Regardless, I've always liked the idea of getting the ball to your best player and trying to get an easy basket from someone else freeing up. If it's not there, your best player has the ball and can go to work, as AD did. Much better than throw it in to player x, flatten out on the baseline and letting him play 1-on-1.

The play was very well drawn up and executed.. It's early but we are dominating the 3rd, and our plays out of timeouts have been solid. Monty turning a corner now that he has a respectable nba team?
