How easy is it to replace an iPad mini screen?

Shattered mine for the second time like an idiot. Paid to have it replaced last time and frick that. Could a reasonably capable person do it?

The most challenging/dangerous part of it is loosening the glue holding the digitizer in place. You'll need a heat gun and the ability to use it safely (not keeping the heat in one spot for too long). After you do that and pry up the digitizer, the rest of the process is easy/standard procedure. The digitizers are cheap.

Yes, but a reasonably capable person also wouldn't shatter their ipad screen twice. You should probably just take it somewhere to get it fixed, and maybe buy a case after that.

I've tried to do 2 of them and the screen glitches out each time. Like it freaks out and starts typing randomly when you put in the passcode. Same happens with the air.
Never have that problem with regular ipads or iPhones.
