I do think he was on the line before he fumbled. The guy behind him shoved him in and it didn't look like he fumbled until he was almost on the ground. Just didn't have a good angle to see it.
eta: Makes you appreciate the no-doubter reach the ball over the goal line kind of sneak instead of lowering into a pile like that.
