Every god damn cultivated vegetable is a GMO. They have been bred for generations to obtain desirable traits. Using cutting-edge technologies to introduce these traits is not dangerous. So make sure to remember that all of those "organic, non-GMO" fruits and veggies that look fricking identical are in fact GMO (and most likely not organic). Nothing in this world is black and white, especially the intricate workings of genetics.
There is a difference between selectively breeding and propagating a plant/animal to have a desired trait and a GMO. A GMO requires genetic manipulation of the DNA, like taking the genes from a caterpillar and putting it into a soybean to make it resistant to herbicide. (roundup ready)

Um, how else do you manipulate DNA if not genetically?
