He should've gone before a competent judge and given the choice of pleading guilty or not guilty without any of the false promises. If he had plead not guilty he would've gone before a jury and would've been found guilty and hopefully given a long sentence.

So after getting it wrong in the first place, they decided to correct their mistake and get it right. Why is this a bad thing? A judge can't make guarantees or promises anyway. He must have a shitty lawyer if he relied on a judge. This case was too public for a judge to promise a light sentence. This whole fricking thing is bogus. I'm just glad he never got off with a slap on the wrist, despite if a judge did or did not make a promise.
