re: first time to tiger stadium - need tailgating info please

You don't really "join a tailgate" at LSU. Most tailgates are just open tents and most fans are welcome to walk around. Just walk up and introduce yourself. Tell them where you are from and why you came and I would be shocked if you didn't get offered a cold beer or beverage and good food. If you spend a long time and eat and drink, it is always nice to "donate" to the cause. Tailgate tents are located all over campus (probably about a 1 - 2 mile radius around the stadium). For Bama, most tailgates will start around 8 - 9 a.m. and continue right up until game time. Your ages probably dictate where you might want to go. If you are under 25, you probably just want to spend all day on the parade grounds with the "younger crowd". If you are older than 25, just park and walk and you will find welcoming Tiger fans. The atmosphere for next weekend will be electric. You picked a great game to attend for the first time.
