The newer Traverse models seems to be the "in" car with all of my middle aged co workers who have lots of kids. The interior looks very nice and appears to be reasonably well made. They have comfortable seats that can fit someone my size in the 3rd row, which is impressive. I can see their appeal. It's similar to the Ford Explorer or Dodge Durango, only larger and probably more reliable than the both.
My point is that they make hundreds of thousands of those things. If the OP was concerned with his dealership's negotiating tactics, he could have probably driven to Gerry Lane or All Star or any other Chevy dealer and bought the exact same truck.
His option now is to refi the vehicle through his credit union and not make the same mistake in negotiating when he purchases his next vehicle.
