AJ threw two interceptions in five minutes against New Mexico fricking state and got pulled from the game. Horrible horrible comparison. While met struggled early on certainly he was never as bad as Jennings. Also, at least met showed some progress and improvement and as others have said flashes of brilliance throughout the year. AJ seems to be getting worse as the season progresses.

Lol wut? He's been up and down, no question, but he looks to be improving with the short/intermediate range passes.

His improvement tracks the improvement in the OL play. I wonder why that is?

"Never" is kind of a strong word, don't you think? Hindsight will look kindly on ZM, but he was HORRIBLE at the start of his SEC career

Mettenberger's first four (4) SEC starts:

49/106 46% 143 YPG 1 TD 2 INTs (his stats actually got worse from start 1 to start 4)

Jennings first three (3) SEC starts [He didn't start against AU this year]:

30/61 49% 129 YPG 2 TDs 0 INTs

mett was never forced to be a starter as a true soph after sitting the bench the prior season ETA: at lsu under cam

and the opposition is getting much, much stronger. it could be that he's actually improving but, the results aren't there because the defenses are better.
