Keeps me sharp when dissecting the liberal mindset and talking points. My friends and peers can't understand why I seek to learn what and why "the other side thinks why they think". I think it makes me more tolerant.

This is because the personalities you encounter are entertain you. They say something shocking or thought provoking, so you are an engaged member of their audience.
There's a reason those AM programs have such massive audiences. The people who run those shows are very good at grabbing attention.
