This is flat-out stupid advice.

Agreed. Yet someone always suggests this. Do not stay in Nola.

I'll third this. If you've never been to NOLA before, sure stay an extra day before or after to experience it, but I wouldn't make that your night-before-the-game and drive-to-afterwards staying location.

ETA: I'll give some input:

Eats (in order):
1.) Chimes

2.) Walk-Ons

3.) Pluckers (even though it's technically a chain, still feels local)

Things to do on campus:
1.) Get there EARLY to soak it all in, because you've got a lot to do!

2.) Visit Mike's habitat in between the PMAC and Tiger Stadium's North side.

3.) Wear your GT gear and tailgate-hop. Tell the chef "something smells good" and get fed and receive free beer! We love visitors.

4.) Watch the team/band come down Victory Hill

Bars for afterwards:
1.) The Bulldog (for craft beers, chilling)

2.) Bogies (for dancing, younger crowd)

That's all I've got for now. I'm sure you'll get other input from other LSU fans.

Hope you have a great time!
