Was not a fan of the Jones hire. I am impressed with his recruiting ability, but until he stops getting out coached in game and starts making in game adjustments I will be skeptical.

With that said... Geaux Tigers.

This is hilarious. I'm glad the rant has found a talking point on basketball now.

You want an in-game adjustment. This was the ballsiest thing I've ever seen a basketball coach do.

Afterward the Tiger players joked that Jones pulled the strategy out of his pocket.

LSU point guard Anthony Hickey was a key in a second-half full-court press that turned the game around and helped the Tigers rally from 16 points down to beat Seton Hall 72-67.

"We didn't practice that, but we did great on that," point guard Anthony Hickey said. "We had a big defender on the front end, and he was able to get his hands on the ball."

It worked.

The man literally installed a 1-2-1-1 pressure package in the middle of a game to erase a 16 point lead. He has some growth to make as a head man, no doubt, but this idea that he doesn't adjust is asinine.

Our real issue is we weren't very talented at the guard spot last year. Running out two sub 6 footers at guard is a tough way to win games. Those guys have skills, but we couldn't defend a lick. Notice that when Tim Quarterman went nuts (think Missouri game), LSU was scary good. Hopefully we can have more consistent guard play from our bigger players. Could be a big season.

I'm with you all the way here Scottie. He took a good step in the hire of Musselman but we still don't know how that coaching dynamic will work.

I like Johnny...everybody likes Johnny. It's why he got hired. I give him a pass for last year. But the passes will run out in the next year or two. Time to step it up.
