Wouldn't DC run the risk getting played the plagiarism card?

Sure...and it would be accurate...but so? In the end, they have essentially the same set up. Individual heroes that can all carry franchises who, at times, come together to form a super group. Credit Marvel for going first...but that should not, in my opinion, force DC to go in what looks to be the exact opposite route JUST to avoid people saying they are copying Marvel.

I know it's an untested approach and there's a huge risk in it than the approach Marvel took but if it pays off, it will be incredible and perhaps even better than marvel's maybe. The market would definitely appreciate two different approaches.

One way or another they'll get to the same point though, right? Eventually both studios (assuming we keep getting new comic book fare) will have individual as well as team up movies. I just don;t see any real reason to have reinvented the wheel solely to avoid being called late to the party. Given Marvel does not currently have access to Spider-Man, DC would have brought the two biggest heroes to the screen in Supes and Bats plus popular Flash and Green Lantern. They would have started out ahead based on branding alone.

Don't get me wrong...I'm not shitting on a movie I have not yet seen. It's just that once Marvel got their machine up and running I found I was more excited about the possibility of DC showing up with the characters I really loved and giving me what I want. And in the end...isn't that what it's all about?
