I think people compare our 2012 and 2013 teams to 2011 and get the idea we had players just leaving willy nilly off mediocre teams. 2012 we had two very close losses to a Sugar Bowl team and the national champs. In 2013 we had three road losses, two of which went down to the wire and the other we hung tough with Bama for about 3 quarters.
Point being we had really good players on those teams playing well against good competition. We aren't seeing a mass exodus of juniors and RS sophomores from this mediocre at best team, barring massive improvement. And if there is massive improvement then we'll have a shot at the playoffs before 2016 and it's a moot point

Seems like the rant is pushing the playoff predictions back a year. If the QBs and DL improve, LSU could be there next year. My worry is the OL and maybe LBs(does Kwon stay). Every other position group should be better or at least the same as this year. No guarantees obviously, but it isn't a pipe dream either.
