What it's going take

(From the perspective of an anti- Miles person but not an anti -Miles post):
LSU football seems to turn in a moment, whether high or low... Examples:
Billy Cannon's Halloween run; Cholly Mac getting his gold Caddy, usheting in the Stovall era; U-Haul Stovall chants; Arnsparger; the loss to Miami in the late 80's during a horrible monsoon - ushered in nearly 10 years of misery; 97 win over Florida bringing the magic back with DiNardo; Saban; Bluegrass Miracle and the Natty;
Since then, there have been the highest of highs ( 07 Natty) and the lowest of lows (clock-it; tennessee; 1/9/12; ... and last week)
What we need, in my opinion is another "moment" that can usher in another 10-years' worth of excitement. I know I'm ready for it. What we don't need is a repeat of last week. No one wants that. I think that's why so many of us anti-miles folks fear we are/have slipped back already... and why the sunshine pumpers keep saying we are/have not. It's just a glass half-empty or half-full point of view. We just need a new "moment" to pull us all back together. It may take a miracle, but that's precisely what we need.
Geaux Tigers!

Damn when an undefeated season and NC game is you low point, who really gives a shite what you think

I think you're missing the point. I'm talking about "moments" not seasons. That season was great, but the shitstorm of 1/9/12 was a "moment" that we have not bounced back from. It is sad that our low had to occur in THE BIGGEST game of the most perfect of seasons. But it did.

You did not enjoy last season?
I certainly did.
What is going to take is perspective and patience.

Hyperbole, we competed well the next two years, staying in West contention for a lot if the year. Christ Nancy. We got beat by a damn good Bama team. It really doesn't matter how. We were so stifled offensively that we responded with better offensive output the two years following.
Look at the Seattle beat down of the Broncos last year, this year not as dominant. These moments you speak of are some exaggerated fan type beliefs(the rant is full if group speak). The competitors don't see things as dimly as the Tiger fans, you play poorly you work hard, you improve, one day you play better.

This is like blaming your impotence on your wife gaining 3 lbs after 10 years of marriage.
It isn't LSU. It's you.

It will take half the fans thinking Les is Nick Saban. Then everyone will believe LSU can do no wrong.

at first I thought your idea of a "moment" was ridiculous then I thought about it with an open mind and think it's ludicrous.
seriously man, a moment? really?
what it's gonna take is much, much improved qb play and much, much improved front 7 play.

Yes, the undefeated season and SEC championship were great.
But there is no denying by any reasonable person that 21-0 was the worst moment in Miles' tenure at LSU.
It made the best season in LSU history and one of the best in CFB history disappear in an instant

That game will be featured on unsolved mysteries or cold case files some day in the future.
