LAT had plenty of posts that could be construed as anti-gay at worst and outright insulting at best.

For example,

That's dehumanizing a group of people, to say that "most" are like that. It's akin to saying most blacks are violent criminals. LAT had some nuanced views and was by no means a "basher," but let's not act like he didn't say some boneheaded things on the subject.

Actually, the only detail I would disagree with LAT on is to strike the word "gay" and just say "men." Without social constraints and expectations, a lot of men are going to devolve down to base animal instincts. Evolution tells us that men are more sexual animals than women.

LAT may have been personally repelled by the actions of some homosexuals and consequently personalized it, but his argument is not completely without merit.
