While a coaching change is clearly nothing more than a roll of the dice, and there is no guarantee of success, the status quo under Les at this point is mediocrity. I'd rather move on now, with a coach that has a mind for the modern football game, than continue down a path with Les that results in mediocrity.

The problem I have is that Les has proved he can play for a title every 4 years. That has been proved. Im not ready to blow the damn thing up when we have this class, like 2009, as our core group to take us there next year or in 2016. we need to build upon this class, like we did with 2009 and make a run.

You fire Les, bring in a new coach to recruit for 1 month. Dont forget our coaches have been in these kids living rooms selling LSU for 3 years now. Not somebody else. The risk of letting him go now is way more than letting him ride his contract out.

We will not have a good recruiting class in 2015 if we fire the head coach. The coaches are on the road recruiting for LSU as we speak. You blow the staff up and every one else is recruiting these kids while LSU is scrambling to find a coach.

If this new coach doesnt turn it around next season, what happens to the loaded 2016? We get raided again and probably by Les and Frank Wilson at another program.

You make entirely too much sense to be posting here.

Holy christ, a reasonable, thought-out response.

I hear what you're saying, and to an extent I even agree. I am not advocating for Les to be fired immediately, I'd like to see if we can be even competitive in an SEC game this year.

However, I would like to see him take the reins off of his offense and move into this century. Hell, even Nick Saban allowed a change to the offense in order to better suit his players (read: QB). Cam Cameron has all of the experience in the world and I think definitely had a huge impact on the success we had last year with Mett but I'm not sold on him as a college OC.

He got the NC game after being in it four years earlier. That is not proof that he can do it EVERY four years. That would be like saying Saban has proved he can win three out of every four national championships. It happened once. That is not proof that it'll happen every time.
