If you can't make completions, you're just better off running the ball.

Maybe because by the time we started passing we were down by 17 freaking points and we were asking a true freshmen QB to get us back in the game.

Any good coach would have started off the game with short, easy passes to get Harris' confidence up. But running the damn ball 3 straight times, going 3 and out, sends the message to Harris that the coaches have no confidence in him.

I have been a defender of Mile's through every loss. No more. Really don't see things getting better on here. No adjustments to our players strengths. No adjustments on D. He is literally marching the team out every week witht he same exact gameplan. Two actual games in a row, we were made to be a laughing stock. Maybe everyone else will start to see by season's end.

Well, there's no doubt that playing pitch and catch has been a problem, too.

So, most teams that need the pass to set up the run due to inadequate line play, or a young QB, will coordinate a system that uses the short passing game, screens and hitches, to give the QB a chance to find a rhythm.

We Do NOT have a passing game coordinator. Our route stems are antiquated for middle school teams. Even when we use 3 wideouts, 2 are holding hands and all are standing still or running go routes when the QB habitually breaks right out of the pocket.

The coordination and game planning in this program is not equal to the staff's level of compensation to put it mildly.
