The main reason is that the players get 3 more weeks of practice. which they need apparently

Agreed. One is a client and in a business setting so I just gave him a dismissive head shake.

Yes, it sucks right now, but if LSU were to go 6-6, everyone will have accepted the reality of the season, and would still watch LSU play in a crappy bowl.

That's different - 6-6 and a chance for a winning season, extra bowl practices, etc. is all worth the risk of going 6-7 and the crappy bowl. 5-7 isn't worth it, IMHO, because, if you win, you're 6-7. Meh.

The difference between 6-6 and 7-6 are much greater, psychologically than that single game.

Imagine how many big cat drills Les could get in prepping for the Independence Bowl.

alent isn't the issue, experience and reps are, the more the better.
More reps left of center, more reps right of center. Who is that going to help? the punter? our kickers are fine. No bowl may help Les deal with whatever issues he has. A lot of you pumpers act like these issues just started. We've had these issues the entire Miles regime. Oklahoma St. had some of these same issues under the miles regime. We were warned about Miles form OSU fans, and we were warned about Chavis by Vol fans. All have been true. Our Vetting has sucked.

For a young team it is very positive to go to a bowl and get the bowl practices and have some positives going into next season.

LSU fans are world class catastrophizers.

We may have already played the 2 best teams in the conference. Yeah, every game left looks to be tough. But, you think we go 0-fer?

4-8? Really? We haven't won fewer than 7 games since 1999.
