HerbertFest08,
I don't have experience with the CV line of AQ cables. Will they work? Of course they will work. Will they be a simple connect to Vandersteens? I don't know what size the binding post is on the Vandys.
It seems odd in today's audio market, especially with a speaker from a company the size of Vandersteen, that they would not have a standard size spade connector or 5-way binding post on the back. Even if it isn't standard and uses the older style "small" spade connection, that isn't a big deal. You can get small connectors/converters that connect to the jacks on the speakers and then allow any cable to connect easily. They are something like $10...no big deal.
You could actually call Vandersteen and tell them your price range and speak to them about cable choices as well.

Yeh... I'm beginning to think I'll just get some from audio advisor if I don't hear from him soon. This is getting to be a tad ridiculous to be honest.
I called vandersteen and they will hold up to 7/16th spades. He told me it shouldn't be a problem.
He also said "well why didn't you ask who you are buying them from?" Told him I had to order through an online dealer due to no dealer being near and was having some issues getting answers. Wasn't sure if he was being an arse or not
